Marketing magic can happen when two powerful brands combine.

To light the spark, my philosophy is to dig into what your fans are already associating you with, and serve that back to them with a fresh, unexpected twist. Ivory tower marketing won’t work here.

Our team did exactly that. We mined for in-store trends, social media conversation and consumer feedback, showing Dunkin’ was synonymous with a few key areas: Halloween costumes, dogs, nostalgia, and of course, running.

These were all places we could play in, and it was up to us to bring them to life. Most importantly, our goal was to make people say, “wow, I didn’t expect that from Dunkin’.”

Results

  • Elf x Dunkin’: Donut & coffee-inspired makeup line drove over 500 Million impressions, and debuted in the front gondola at all ULTA Beauty stores.

  • Spirit Halloween: Our Spirit Halloween Donut & Coffee couples costume sold out within 48 hours.

  • BarkBox: Our BarkBox x Dunkin’ dog toys were sold across our stores, raising nearly 2 Million dollars in donations to the Joy in Childhood Foundation, benefitting sick children.

  • Saucony: Our famous Dunkin’ x Saucony running shoes sold out in 24 hours, resulting in significant earned media.

  • Homesick Candles: Dunkin’s famous donut & coffee scents, now in candles, sold out, tapping into Dunkin’ nostalgia bringing the flavors fans love straight into their living rooms.
